With the Mid Term elections finally over it is now time for America to prepare for what is to come. While I believe that most Democrats who won seats formerly held by Republicans are somewhat moderate and are at least to some degree concerned about the welfare of the nation, the Democratic leadership are not. I do not believe for even a second that most voters are in favor of a more powerful federal government, or higher taxes.
Most Americans I believe do not have a problem with religion. The problem is that most of the country has become so disenchanted with the way the war in Iraq has been handled by the Bush Administration that they are ready to see change. I agree that changes need to be made, but at what expense?
The federal government that Nancy Pelosi and her followers on the far left are talking about is not democracy at all. Taking money from those who have worked hard to make something of themselves and giving to those who have not? Cradle to Grave health care for the unemployed? A government that nurtures and cares for everyone and affords the same rights to enemies of the U.S. as its citizen's. I could go on here for quite some time but choose not too. Oh. I almost forgot immigration laws, let's not even get into that.
The democrats are also going to "investigate" scandals that took place while Republicans were in control. To that I say, "You only have 2 years to turn this thing around before the American public does the same thing to you that they just did to the Republicans." "Fix it or get thrown out on your asses." If the only goal here is to get revenge for grudges that have been held over the last 12 years your majority will not last long and you are ensureing that the presidential election in '08 doesn't go your way.
Last of all the elite left has shown to this point that they despise the Bush administration to such an extent that some of them hope that things go badly in Iraq. That is not what the America's fighting men and women need right now. While I believe that most of America is behind them Nancy Pelosi and friends are not. Make no mistake this could be a rough couple of years ahead.
One final note here. The major "news" networks have become such a puppet for the left wing that average people have absolutely no. or at least a very skewed idea about what is actually going on in the world. Don't be suprised when the media suddenly starts reporting on all of the great things that are happening in congress when in reality the only thing that has changed are the people making the mistakes. I will give my opinion on Donald Rumsfeld's resignation later if anyone cares.
I would love to hear your opinions. You can email me at kylereed00@hotmail.com
